This giant Serving Silver Fork is spectacular through its sheer weight and size. The handle has a tapering central rib which intensifies the scattering of light reflected by the traditional high English polish. The reverse has a "rat-tail" to the bowl, an echo of its ancient origin when the active tines were made separately and joined securely with the rat-tail to the handle. The back of the handle carries large and bold silver hallmarks punched in by hand by the London Assay Office.
This giant solid silver fork is remarkably priced at only £399 including insured special delivery, a luxury tarnish resistant presentation and storage bag with draw string and a booklet explaining the historic English silver hallmarks. There is space for engraving on the reverse of tip of the handle for personal engraving of up to 4 initials at £15 extra per fork. Made by qualified silversmiths in UK.
